Elizabeth Leah Born
Finalist for the Daimler Emerging Artist Award
Based on my work at the Cranbrook Degree Show, Out of the Woods, I was chosen as one of ten finalists to receive a two month residency in Berlin, Germany.

The residency includes a stipend, an apartment, a car, and a bicycle to use while in Berlin, along with networking opportunities galore!

I'm proud to be a candidate for this prestigious award, and also proud of my fellow finalists.

We give our presentations to a panel of amazing designers, architects, artists, art collectors, curators and more on Monday, May 3rd....

so please, wish me luck! I would love to be blessed with this opportunity! I truly feel this could help advance my art and my career.

thank you :D

My work will be on display here through Sunday, May 9, 2010!

Come check it out at the
Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD)
4454 Woodward Avenue, Detroit, 48201

Cranbrook Academy of Art is delighted to present its annual exhibition of work by the 2010 class of Masters of Fine Arts and Masters of Architecture students. The Academy’s program is interdisciplinary in orientation, representing the crossing and merging of mediums as well as the investigation and use of content from diverse areas of thought. The exhibition of these 77 emerging artists reflects the culmination of their time spent at the Academy and ranges from painting and sculpture to video, photography and installation. This year, the event is graciously hosted by the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit while Cranbrook Art Museum is under construction.
